About the Artist
Lepi Jacobs is a classic oil on canvas artist , originated from cape Town. Her residencies and exhibitions include The Sorbonne in Paris, France.
18 solo exhibitions and numerous collaborative exhibitions across her 30 year career.
She taught art in her Cape Town studio for 15 years before her current, lengthy, sabbatical travel in Africa countries, including Namibia, to inspire her unique semi abstract paintings. Constant internal and external growth is an important element in her life and being exposed to new countries, people and environments essential.
An acclaimed portrait master, her repertoire includes vibrant abstracts, landscapes, the human form and animals. Collectors include the Solomon family in Cape Town, Wales family in New York, Green family in Perth, van der Fecht family in Gibraltar, Dafonseca family in Portugal, Obermayer family in Melbourne, Geldenhuys family in Sydney.
Jacobs has an extensive range of painting styles influenced by the subject and environment she reflects. Her goal is to ultimately evoke emotion through her work.
