is a well known artist in Namibia who grew up on a vegetable farm in the district of Nelspruit, South Africa.
As a child, Anita Roux enjoyed the freedom of the veld and explored and sketched all the beautiful flowers and plants she saw. She has a very positive outlook on life which transpires in her motivation for creating art – to uplift the viewer.
Anita Roux was born in Wolmaransstad, South Africa but moved to Nelspruit where she spent her childhood years. Having lived inSouth Africa for most of her life, she moved to Namibia a decade ago where she is now permanently based.
Since she moved to Namibia she started spending more time on her art and is now fast becoming one of the most sought after artists in Namibia.
As an artist Anita Roux was taught by the late Nico Roos and Johnny de Kock to work with oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastels, pencil and mosaic.
I’ve created various commissioned pieces varying from mosaic, stamp design, magazine and brochure cover design and portraiture. My work travelled the world with pieces commissioned from Canada, Europe, Namibia,South Africa and the USA
